Urban Decay Haul & Friends Family Sale

Hey Everyone!
Today I want to share with you a couple recent purchases I've made with Urban Decay.  Like many of you, I'm a fan of UD, the brand offers vegan friendly product that are actually nicely made with superb quality.

I was excited to see the Naked Basics come out just not too long ago.  I own both the Naked and the Naked 2 palette, they offer a great range of rich neutral colors, and I use them ALL THE TIME!  However I've been secretly wishing there be something with all matte colors, since for me that would be more practical for everyday use.  I guess sometimes wishes do come true!

Only Foxy is the same from Naked 2, but the color is great for highlighting on my skin tone, I don't mind having double :)

Like the new case, very compact, easy to carry around and fit in most of my make up bags!  and like that they stayed away from the velvety material of the original Naked palette, it was pretty, but just too difficult to keep clean ;)

So many ways to use these shades!  I like using the lighter shades for highlighting the eye area as well as the nose bridge.  The darker colors are great for defining the eye, touching up eyebrows, and black of course is great as eyeliner.

Another item I purchased was the new limited edition Glinda palette, inspired by the Disney movie OZ the Great and Powerful.  It was an easy decision for me to choose Glinda over Theodora, since most of the eye shadows I already own are of brownish colors, and since spring and summer are coming, I thought some pink/purple hue would be really nice.

I love everything included in this set ( ´ ▽ ` )ノ

Glinda is the good witch played by Michelle Williams, her look is very dreamy and sweet.

The palette comes with a get-the-look card, very handy!

Love the sleek tin case, beautiful stardust pink, gold, peachy backdrop

The collectible tin is made as a Build Your Own palette for versatility (`∀´)Ψ

A super saturated high gloss lip color and a travel size 24/7 glide-on eye pencil are included.

A gift with purchase from urbandecay.com, not too impressed, I've had better (・ω・。)

Urban Decay is having it's Friends & Family sale starting today, store wide 20% off including sale items!  Have fun shopping :)

Anna Sui Haul ♥

Hey everyone!  I finally got time this weekend to go through my holiday hauls :)  My favorites were the Anna Sui products purchased online at UrbanOutfitters.com.

Items photoed:
Anna Sui Beauty Tray
Anna Sui Brush Stand
Anna Sui Cheek Brush
Anna Sui Nail Color N
Anna Sui Eye Shadow Palette
Anna Sui Eye Shadow & Limited Edition Holiday Eye Shadow

The beauty tray and the brush stand are really amazing with sculpted roses and butterflies.  Even though they are plastic, the material look very good quality and sturdy.  I'm planning to arrange some of my smaller blush, powder and shadow palettes in the beauty tray, and the brush stand is perfect for keeping pens, mascaras, brushes and etc...

I got eye shadows in color 203, 206, and holiday limited color 005, the palette case was purchased separately.  203 is a pinkish purple color with fine silver sparkles, 206 is a matte plum color, and 005 is a dark purple shade with silver sparkles.  It's really great to customize my own palette, no ending up with unwanted color!  and LOVE the Anna Sui signature rose scent from the shadows!

Nail Color N in 701 and 705.  701 is one of my favorite Anna Sui polish, a pale blush color with silver sparkles.  This is my second purchase since few year ago, and the new bottle design is just the cutest!!  705 is a nude color with fine silver sparkles, a great basic color to have.

Anna Sui blush brush with my old Rose Blush powder.  The brush is quite amazing, I love how soft the bristles feel against my skin :) and the beautifully sculpted rose handle is super elegant!

All items were purchased just before Christmas, when UO offered 20% off across the site with free shipping, great opportunity to get what I wanted, and I'm really happy with everything I received!
Hope you enjoyed my sharing and have a great weekend!

XOXO

Sephora VIB 15% Off Beauty Haul

Twice a year I stock up my beauty items during Sephora's VIB sale.  This year, besides my usuals, I also pinked up a few new items that I have read about from beauty bloggers.

From top left:

Clarins Bright Plus HP Gentle Brightening Exfoliator (new)
For a while I have been looking for a gentle exfoliator, after much research, I decided to give this one a try.  The texture of the exfoliator is like a regular creamy facial wash, but with micro pinkish beads.  It goes on very smooth over skin, with light massage, my skin feels smooth and soft afterwards.  I've only used this a couple of times, so far have not seen any brightening effect.

Clarins UV Plus HP Day Screen High Protection SPF 40
This is my favorite sun screen, I'm reaching the end of my third bottle already.  As we all know, sun protection is probably one of the most important things to youthful looking skin, so I'm very religious when it comes to using sun screens.  I have tried countless brands of sun screens, including Dior, Chanel, Shiseido, Clinique and etc.  Clarins so far is the best I have used.  It is very light and does not dry out my skin.

Clinique Clarifying Lotion 2
I have been using this lotion as long as I can remember.  I normally use it only once at night with a cotton pad, after washing my face with Lancome Cream Radiance Clarifying Cream to foam cleanser.  What I like about this lotion on a cotton pad is it rubs off any remaining dirt that is left after the cleanser, and leaves my skin very refreshed.

Bliss Triple Oxygen Instant Energizing Mask (new)
I had seen this mask first from this video by BeautyQQ's on YouTube.  She had done a very funny review for the mask, it was so hilarious that I just had to get the mask and try it myself!  The mask claims to release oxygen into the skin by foaming up after applying on skin. My thoughts after a first try: it is super FUN watching the mask bubbles up on the face and mask feels very refreshing, my skin looks brightened after using the mask.

Urban Decay Naked 2 (new)
I am so in love with my Original Naked eye shadow palette, especially the lighter hues, they are perfect for everyday use.   I'm so excited to receive the Naked 2, the use of the metal case and the bigger mirror are really great compare to the original Naked.  (The original case is very pretty but so hard to maintain clean, if you know a good way, please let me know!)  I have not tried the colors yet, probably will do a separate review just for the Naked 2 later.  But so far I found only 1 repeated color between the 2 shadow palette.

Smith's Rosebud Slave
This is my all time favorite lip balm.  I have bought so many of them as gifts and stocking staffers.  So far I'm only on my second jar, since the balm is so soothing that I only need to apply once in the morning and once before bed, so I'm consuming the balm at a extremely slow speed.  I don't like super fruity lip balms, so the original rosebud is perfect for me, and I also like the minted flavor one.

Box comparison between original Naked Palette and Naked 2

Color comparison, the top one is Naked 2

Till next Sephora VIB sale ;D

Get Naked! Urban Decay Mini Haul with Picture of Me

Happy first day of Spring!

Finally I got my first dip of Urban Decay which I have being longing for since forever.  I ordered a few things from urbandecay.com during their recent 20% off Friends and Family discount.  After received my items in the mail a few days later, I was totally psyched with what I saw.  Items arrived in perfect condition, packaging was so unique and just love the dark mystic purple color scheme throughout!

Original packaging, edgy indeed!

The Naked palette (comes with a Good Karma shadow brush and a travel-size Eyeshadow Primer Potion in original formula), lipstick in color Naked, Good Karma multi-tasker brush, and Good Karma crease brush.  Also received the limited edition lipstick cap as a gift with lipstick purchase.  How sweet of them!

Peeking inside :) I did want to get the Naked 2 Palatte as well, but it was excluded from the 20% discount.  Gives me something to look forward to in the future, right!  Though, I do like the bigger mirror that comes with the Naked 2.

12 gorgeous shades, neutral yet daring, ranges from delicate matte champagne to dark glittery gunmetal.  I do wish the mirror is bigger as in the Naked 2, but I definitely see myself having fun with all the color options.
Here is a color swatch for you

Love this neutral color and the dagger logo ❤ One dislike though, about the lipstick is the cap is super tight!  It's difficult for me to get a good hold of the dagger and pull the lipstick out of the cap, really hurts my hand.

Lipstick in the limited edition cap

What I love about Urban Decay is most of their products are cruelty-free (look for the bunnie with heart shaped ears)!

Finally, here is a picture of me wearing the Naked eyeshadow!  I did a really light makeup, so the colors don't show very well in this picture.  Will try a more dramatic look next time 。◕ ‿ ◕。

Konad Stamping Nail Art Haul

I recently purchased these Konad nail art stamping plates and accessories from WowSoCool.com.  I was a little skeptical at first and thought for 7 dollar a piece, these plates aren’t very cheap.  But wow, they totally exceeded my expectations and worth every penny!  The plates are very finely made with great details, and the designs are just so adorable in person!

I got image plates m71, m77, and m79

Will be posting my Konad nail art tutorial soon!

Beauty Haul. Japanese Eye Makeup Edition. Product Reviews

I recently stopped by my local Japanese market and picked up a few items which I have been wanting to try.  I adore an innocent natural look, which enhances facial features yet not too over powering.  So when I purchase makeups, I keep in mind to always choose items that will create a glowing dewy flawless effect.

D.U.P Eyelashes Aiku Maikawa Model's Selection #912
I picked these falsies, because the length is very natural and they come with a clear base strip.  They are very soft and flexible, easy to wear, give volume and definition, with the perfect sweet and natural finish.  Product comes with two pairs of lashes and a glue tube.

SANA New Born Styling W Eyebrow Mascara and Pencil SB1 Grayish Brown
What I love about this product is it comes as one side eyebrow pencil and other side eyebrow mascara.  The pencil side is very thin, which gives precision and hair like strokes.  Brush side is soft and great for blending in and shaping the brows in place.  The color is very natural and soft.  Remember to scrape excess mascara from brush before applying if needed.

Koji Dolly Wink Volume Mascara Black Water Proof
This mascara has been praised and loved by many beauty bloggers out there.  I find the mascara really leaves your lashes curled with volume all day long!  What I love about the product is the brush head, which is thinner on the tip, making it easy to apply mascara to corners and hard to reach baby lashes.  The mascara is fast drying, no smudge, no clumps, gives a true dolly finish.  Product comes with picture instruction on how to apply the mascara.  My new go-to mascara!
